GoBraw and ProPresenter
ProPresenter has run more Sunday services than almost anything, and it earned that. GoBraw is built for a different job: every screen in the building changing together, run by whoever turned up.
What ProPresenter is good at
- A Bible library with many translations, built in.
- Years of use in churches, so someone online has already solved your problem.
- Lots of ready-made backgrounds and media to buy.
- Volunteers often arrive already knowing it.
Where GoBraw is different
- Every screen, as one. The main screen, the side screens and the hall TV change at the same moment.
- Every screen you already have. TVs, projectors, Apple TV, Android TV, even a Raspberry Pi. Each one joins with a free app.
- Every seat's a front seat. People follow the words on their own phone.
- Next is in your pocket. Move on from a phone anywhere in the room.
- One price. Everyone in. One price for the whole place. No price per person or per computer.
When ProPresenter is the better pick
- You need a Bible library with many translations on Sunday. GoBraw has none yet.
- You need a song library or CCLI reporting. GoBraw has neither yet.
- You run everything from a Windows computer. GoBraw runs on Windows, but putting an experience on screens from a Windows computer is still being finished. Today, use a Mac.
- Your team knows ProPresenter well, and that is worth more than anything new.
If ProPresenter works for you, keep it. Try GoBraw when the screens are the problem: more of them, further apart, or never quite together.
Other comparisons
- Proclaim: Planning the service together during the week, with a big Bible library.
- PowerPoint and Keynote: The best way to make a talk, and everybody already has one.
- Digital signage: Planned pictures on lots of screens, on a timetable.
- vMix and OBS: For mixing cameras and streaming. Usually a friend, not a rival.
